Emotional Capacity for the High Achiever

Understand what drains you. Respond to pressure with more choice.

You’ve handled a lot today. Then one more request comes in, and suddenly you feel close to tears, irritated, or unable to think.

You wonder why something so small feels so big.

But that moment has a whole day—and sometimes much longer—behind it.

Emotional Capacity for the High Achiever is a guided, experiential cohort for women who are used to carrying a great deal and want to better understand what happens when pressure builds.

Make room for what you’re feeling

Being able to keep going doesn’t always tell you how much capacity you have left.

You might hold everything together in the moment, then feel depleted afterward. You might move into fixing, overthinking, or taking care of everyone else before recognizing your own response.

In this cohort, we’ll explore how you experience stress and emotional overload, what your early signals look like, and what kinds of responses support you.

Emotion regulation will be part of that work: practicing ways to stay connected to yourself, work with what you’re feeling, and make choices during demanding moments.

This may feel familiar

  • You push through until you have very little left.
  • You feel overwhelmed but struggle to explain what is weighing on you.
  • You move quickly into problem-solving when something feels uncomfortable.
  • You hold things together around others and feel the impact later.
  • You understand your patterns but want help responding differently in the moment.

What we’ll practice

We’ll explore recognizing emotional buildup earlier, noticing familiar stress responses, and identifying what drains or supports your capacity.

Through guided exercises, reflection, and conversation, you’ll practice creating room between what you feel and what you do next. We’ll also consider what support, recovery, or adjustment a demanding moment might call for.

What we’re working toward

A clearer understanding of your internal load—and more ways to respond before you reach the point of depletion.

You can feel frustrated, anxious, or overwhelmed and still practice responding with care for yourself. That work can begin while the feelings are still there.
